Meet our Children's Ministry Administrator

Rivertree Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry has implemented a new security system that involves checking-in a child before taking them to their class. Parents check-in their children starting at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The very first time a child is with us, the parent will need to fill out the paperwork (paper and digital copy [tablet] available). A name tag prints out and is placed on the back of the child’s shirt. This name tag includes the name, age, check-out code, designated pick-up person, and allergies. A separate label will print out that parents will keep. The code on this label will be the same as the code on the name tag for the child. This ensures that every child is checked out to the right person. If you have multiple children in multiple classes, you can check-in and check-out everyone at one time. We also check and record every child’s temperature before entrance into classes. Out of respect and consideration for our volunteers, Sunday morning class check-out time is always at 12:15 p.m.

Nursery

Our Rivertree Roots nursery class is for ages 6 months to 3 years. Our nursery children are checked-in by their parent/guardian as described above. The label-maker will print two name tags. One name tag is to be placed on the diaper bag; the other on the back of their shirt. Parent or guardian will need to keep the matching check-out ticket to pick up their children. Nursery is available on Sundays from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Nursery children learn a Bible lesson, complete a craft or color page, and eat a snack. Please designate allergies when checking into the system.

Ages 4-6

Our 4-6 year olds are required to check-in upstairs near the classroom with their parent. The class is available from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The children in this class have a Bible lesson, activity page or craft, and a snack. Please designate any allergies when checking the child into the system.

Ages 7-11

Our 7-11 year olds require check-in and temperature checks as well. They are checked-in downstairs as early as 10:15 a.m. but then stay in the sanctuary until the end of worship service. Following worship, they go upstairs to their classroom for their Bible lesson and activities.

For the safety of our children and insurance purposes, children’s ministry volunteers have to attend our church for at least six months and submit a background check to the church office. Background checks are completed online and sent to the applicant’s email from the church office.
